“La-larry, she’s le-le-leaving-ing.”

From his perch on a tree stump, Small Packages looked up at Skyscraper. “What?”

“She’s go-go-going to be ba-ba-bait for Pa-pa-payday to ca-catch Da-da-dark My-my-mystic.”

His brother’s ability to read lips was one of his little known assets to the team. “Well, at least it’ll be a chance to be rid of Payday.”

Skyscraper began to blubber.  “But I love Speed Ska-Skater.”

Small Packages sighed. Some days, if he could, he’d trade stutter free for even half of Skyscraper’s height. “You know, I’m going to regret this, but come on. We’ll follow them.”

“Th-th-thank you.”

“Anything to avoid the waterworks.”
